Patricia C. Madel

Patricia (Pat) C. Madel, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Oshkosh on March 4, 1940 to the late Herbert and Josephine (Berger) Ilk. Patricia was united in marriage to Leonard Madel on September 3, 1960 and recently celebrated 60 years of marriage.

Pat’s passion in life was to take care of everyone. She loved making everyone’s favorite dish from Chicken Dumpling Soup, Fried Fish, Kraut Kuchen, mashed potatoes and Éclair Torte. She was an excellent cook! Some of her favorite things were to send Lenny to Kwik Trip for a Big Buddy and scratch offs. She especially loved her gambling road trips to many casinos far and wide or any road trip destination unknown. Pat always put everyone first before herself, her kindness and loving ways will be missed by many.

Pat is lovingly survived by her husband of 60 years, Leonard; two children: Paul (Veronique) and Becky Madel; two grandbabies: Taylor and Payton Madel; siblings: Priscilla Gluth, Herb (Marcia) Ilk; brother-in-law, Gordon Knudsen; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Josephine Ilk; daughter, Jenny Madel; sister, Rosayn Knudsen; Mother and Father-In-Law Joseph and Arvilla Madel; brother-in-law, Steve Gluth; and special loved one, Marissa Marx.
Private family services will be held at later date.

Grandma – Thank you for being at every one of our softball games whether it was 100 degrees or -20 you and Grandpa never missed one and it will never be forgotten! Every accomplishment or milestone we could always count on a phone call no matter how big or small. Words cannot describe how much we will miss you.
