Patrick Pat E. Haverty, 70, of Oshkosh died on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at Northpoint Medical and Rehabilitation. He was born on March 25, 1940 in Oshkosh the son of George and LaVine May Haverty. Pat married Geraldine Gerry Thompson on April 22, 1978 in Oshkosh. Pat was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament - St Marys site. He was owner and operator of Pat Haverty Machine Shop, and enjoyed sailing, boating and ice boating. Pat was a graduate of St. Marys grade school, Oshkosh High School and in 1962 the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh. He was the Wisconsin Handicapped Person of the Year in 1971, and received the Jaycees Distinguished Service Award and the Educator Award in 1975 at the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh. Pat was on the Board of Trustees at Lourdes High School.Survivors include his wife, Gerry; three sons, Brian (Patti) Haverty, John Haverty. and Steven Haverty all of Oshkosh; two grandchildren, Zachary and Nathanial Haverty; two brothers, Michael (Patricia) Haverty of Glenville, IL, and Steven (Patricia) Haverty of Darlington, WI; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Most Blessed Sacrament - St. Marys site (Monroe St and Merritt Ave) at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 17, 2010 with Monsignor John Dewane officiating. Family and friends may visit at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (Eastside) on Wednesday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the church. Inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery.
