Paul Marxen

Paul B. Marxen, 95 of Oshkosh, died Friday March 16, 2007 at the Bethel Home. He was born in Hamburg, Germany on January 17, 1912 the son of Paul H. and Bertha Bobzin Marxen. On June 24, 1939 he married Nona L. Junge in Round Lake,IL.Paul was an associate partner in the architectural firm of Skidmore, Owings and Merrill in Chicago,IL. He was a graduate of the University of Illinois in Champaign Urbana earning an architectural degree. He enjoyed photography, golf, woodworking and traveling.He is survived by his wife Nona Marxen of Oshkosh, two sons, Paul (Vicki) Marxen and John (Theresa) Marxen both of Oshkosh, two daughters, Ruth (Glenn) Lancaster of Evanston, IL and Anne (Kyle) Wooldridge of Gilbert, AZ, ten grandchildren, Laura, Katherine, Alice, Susannah, Elizabeth, Cody, Lacy, Jade, Amanda, and Jennifer, and four great grandchildren, Nicole, Sydney, Lindsay, and Asha. He was preceded in death by a brother, Karl Marxen.A memorial service for Paul will be conducted on Sunday March 18, 2007 at 2:00 PM at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home- Westside with Vicki Marxen officiating. A memorial has been established.
