Pearl Cottrell

Pearl E. Cottrell, 90 of Oshkosh, died Friday December 7, 2007 at Evergreen Retirement Community. She was born in Rock Island, IL on November 29, 1917 the daughter of John and Bertha Baker Rankin. On June 4, 1943 she married Howard R. Cottrell in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death on May 25, 1977. Pearl had worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Evergreen Manor for fourteen years, retiring in 1988. She had raised and bred Siberian Huskies for thirty years.She is survived by her son, Gerald G. (Gloria) Cottrell of Oconto Falls, WI, nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, several cousins, nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends, especially dear friends, Dick and Carol Rank and family. She was also preceded in death by her son, Howard W. Cottrell Jr. and a daughter, Joan C. Lentz.Graveside services for Pearl will be in Riverside Cemetery on June 14, 2008 at 10:00 AM.
