Peter G. Wonser

Peter G. Wonser, age 85, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2022, at Lakeshore Manor in Oshkosh. He was born to the late George and Leona (Boettcher) Wonser on September 14, 1936, in Oshkosh. Peter married Carol Zuehlke on May 17, 1957, in Oshkosh. He spent his career as a machinist at Rockwell International. Peter enjoyed watching and attending Formula 1 Races, as well as attending loud headbanging music concerts with Mark. He loved sports of all kinds and greatly enjoyed going boating and fishing. Peter loved going up north with his family and eventually moved to Rhinelander to build their new home, with Carol after his retirement in the 1980’s, and let’s not forget his favorite thing, the Manhattan with pretzels. Peter, with his wife Carol, also bred, raised, and competed with many Hungarian Vizsla dogs winning many ribbons and trophies. 
Peter is survived by his children, Timothy (Christa), and Karen Wonser; grandchildren, Melissa, Anna Mae, Paul Wonser, and Aaron Brouillard; great-grandchildren, Elyssa Wonser, Jayden, Arianna, Skylar, Silas, Phoenix, Bennett, Amora Wonser; sisters, Maryjo Lurvey, and Patty Van Dyke.
 In addition to his parents, Peter is preceded in death by his wife, Carol; and son, Mark Wonser. 
Per the wishes of the family a private graveside service will be held.
