Peter Joseph Helf

Peter J. Helf, 26, of Oshkosh died at his residence on Monday February 20, 2006 after a courageous battle with cancer. Peter was born Sept. 17, 1979 in Oshkosh a son of Nick Helf and Karen Helf. He worked in the Human Services at Eastbay for several years. Survivors include his father, Nick (Jo) Helf of Oshkosh; mother, Karen Helf, of Phoenix, AZ; a sister, Jamie (Brigham) Smith, of Oshkosh; several step-siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins and good friends, Matt and Rob. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. A memorial service will be held at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside on Saturday, February 25, 2006 at 1:30 PM. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 PM to the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial to Aurora Hospice (650 Doctors Court Oshkosh, WI 54901) has been established. The family wishes to thank Aurora Hospice and Aurora Medical Center staff for their care and concern. Peter was a wonderful son, brother and friend, and will be missed by all who knew him.
