Phyllis Fern Lesselyoung

Phyllis F. Lesselyoung, a.k.a Granny, age 84, went home to be with Jesus on July 23rd, 2017. She was born in Oshkosh to Henry and Ila Mae Schmick on March 22, 1933. She married Kenneth E. Mueller on April 3, 1953 in Oshkosh. He went home on October 18th, 1984. On May 19, 1990, she married Joel Lesselyoung.
Phyllis was a nurse’s aide, in the infant ward, at Mercy Hospital for many years. She worked for a dentist and then at the Christian Book Nook after that. A year after Kenneth’s passing, she started with Mary Kay. Phyllis finally retired in January of 2017.
She loved birds and gardening.
Phyllis is survived by her loving husband, Joel; her children, Nadine (Paul) Weinkauf, Cindy (Brian) Dettlaff, Melanie Reimer, Timothy Mueller and Barb, Paul Mueller, Jennifer (Gary) Angell and Tami (Doug) White, brother, James L. (Vicki) Schmick; thirteen granddaughters; six grandsons; many great grand babies, cousins and many best friends will miss her too.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Catherine Ann; brother, Henry G. Schmick, fathers-in-law; mothers-in-law; sisters- and brothers-in-law.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, July 27, 2017, at Countryside Christian Church, 1483 Burr Oak Road, Oshkosh, with Pastor Dan Wetzel officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh. Visitation will be at the church from 4:00 p.m. Thursday until the time of the service.
