Ralph Irving Mosling

Ralph I. Mosling, age 94, of Oshkosh, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Evergreen . He was born on November 12, 1920 to the late Bernhard and Helena (Rohloff) Mosling in Oshkosh. He married Kathryn Vandersee on September 24, 1955 in Oshkosh.Ralph graduated from Oshkosh High School and went on to achieve a Bachelors degree from Vanderbilt University before entering the U.S. Navy in World War II, serving in the Pacific. He then was employed at Oshkosh Corporation in various positions, the last years in sales in the Far East. After coming home from the Navy he became interested in flying and became a licensed pilot, which he always enjoyed. He also was a sports enthusiast and spent time in various activities.Ralph was a member of St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran church.Ralph is survived by his wife of 59 years, Kathryn; daughters, Libby (Greg) Seibold of Sayner, WI Karen (Douglas) Gale of Grand Rapids, MI, and Amy Mosling of Chicago, IL; sons Thomas (Ann) Mosling of Berlin, WI and Michael (Susan) Mosling of LaCrosse, WI ; sister Ruth (Burton) Elvig of Eau Claire, WI; seven grandchildren, Kristen, Kayla, Nicholas, Griffin, Cassidy, Landon, and Chase; and great grandson, Andrew. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Lucile, and Margaret; and three brothers, Bernhard Jr., John, and Donald.A visitation will be held for Ralph at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes-(Westside) on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.Private family services are being held.In lieu of flowers a memorial may be made to Evergreen or Generations HospiceThe family wishes to express a special thanks to the staff at Evergreen for their kind, compassionate care of Ralph, also Generations Hospice.
