Ray A. Kiesow, age 82 of Oshkosh, died at Aurora Medical Center on Thursday April 1, 2010. Ray was born in Oshkosh on October 26, 1927, a son of the late Ferdinand and Irma Yorkson Kiesow. He married Marcella Rivet on June 3, 1963 in Iron Mountain, Michigan. Marcella preceded him in death on May 15, 2008.Ray served in the U.S. Army for two years and retired from the City of Oshkosh Sanitation Department after 25 years. Ray enjoyed bowling, baseball, golfing, watching football and playing cards.Ray is survived by his step-son Gary (Gloria) LaRue of Kent, WA; step daughter Lin Sugden of Stewartsville, MN; grandchildren, Debbie (Chris) Crist, Michelle (James) Seligman of Washington; Tonya (Chad) LaFleur, Lisa (Dan) Altreuter of LaCrosse, WI; Rob (Lynette) Sugden of Iowa and seven great grandchildren. Ray is further survived by his sister Lois Fikjes of Oshkosh; sisters and brothers-in-laws Janet Sohrweide of Oshkosh, Bob (Kathy) Rivet of Neenah, Grace (Charles) Heinz, Rosalie (Sy) Swederski, Ann Rivet all of Menasha and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Gladys Fikjes and his wife Marcie. Ray will be missed by many.Funeral services will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home- Eastside on Monday, April 5, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Kevin Mundell officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 10:00 AM to the time of service. Interment will be at Lake View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established. Rays family would like to thank the nurses at Aurora and the nurses from Hospice for their special care.
