Raymond C. Heling

Raymond C. Heling, 88, of Oshkosh, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2006 at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center. Ray was born on June 19, 1917 in Clintonville a son of Martin and Emma Witt Heling. On August 28, 1948 he married Roberta J Shepherd in Oshkosh. She preceded him in death on February 8, 1990.Ray was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church in Oshkosh, was a Millwright for Menasha Corporation and was a member of the American Legion Cook-Fuller Post 70. Ray served had his country in the US Army Air Corps in the 12th and 15th Divisions from 1941 to 1945 and did campaigns in Africa and Italy. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star.Survivors include two sons, Bruce (Kathryn) Heling of Brookfield, Martin (Peggy) Heling of Menasha; a step daughter, Judith (Lee) Boyd of Oshkosh; one brother, Harold (Doris) Heling of Oshkosh; four grandchildren, Joshua (Amy) Heling, Becky Matulle, and Cassie Tatrow and Becky Boyd and three great grandchildren. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Roberta, one brother Roy and a sister, Ruth.Services for Ray will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Plymouth Congregational Church (1325 Georgia Street) with the Rev. Lynn Scovil officiating. Family and friends may call at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home ? Westside on Monday, June 5, 2006 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and again at Church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to the service time. Interment will be at Lake View Memorial Park.His family and friends will remember Ray for his love of the outdoors, his devotion to his family and his enduring faith. He will be held in our hearts forever.
