Raymond Lee Troxell

Raymond L. Troxell, 83, died at his home August 19, 2005 with his family be his side, after a courageous fight with cancer. Ray was born on a farm in the Town of Oshkosh on March 25, 1922, the youngest of eight children born to Fred and Lucy Troxell. Ray had six sisters, Alvia Termouth, Flo La Mudge, Lucille Peck, Ruth Goehler, Jane McGee, Leon McPrang, and one brother, Fred Troxell. Ray was a member of VFW post #1908.Ray served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII, 1942-1945 in Germany with the 300th 1st Battalion, 76th Medical Division as a Sergeant. He was a member of VFW Post #1908. He worked for the Peoples and Pabst Breweries for 43 years, retiring from Pabst in 1983 as a Forman. Ray took a lot of pride in his job at the breweries. He was a great fisherman and enjoyed going with his fishing buddy, his son Denny. Ray sure knew where the fish were, and when he was younger he enjoyed hunting with his brother Fred. Ray is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jackie, two daughters, Lisa (Tim) Tischer, of Muskego, Karla Williams, of Oshkosh; and five grand children, Staci and Kate Tischer, Kiel and Kris Eckert, and Nick Williams. Ray had four children from his marriage to Dolly Miller (deceased),three daughters, Joan (Dan) Dadas, Diane (Ike) Petri, Gloria (Tom) Duley, and one son, Denny Troxell (Dawn); 10 grand children, Kim Buechl, Nicole Suess, Troy Dadas, Rhonda Suarez, Carrie Young, Gina Chivington, Desiree Lyons, Shannon, Le Ann, and Denny Troxell Jr; he is also survived by 14 great-grand children, and one great-great- grand daughter, Katie. Funeral service for Ray will be held on Tuesday August 23, 2005 at 11:00 am in the chapel at Lake View Memorial Park (2786 Algoma Blvd) with Rev. John Poffinbarger officiating. Family and friends may call at the chapel from 10:00 am until the hour of service. Burial will follow with full military honors. Rays family would like to thank Affinity Hospice and Dr. Andrasko and his staff for their kindness and compassion.Ray was a good man, a great son, brother, father, and grand father, he will be missed by all who knew him. We love you and will miss you, your family.
