Raymond Leo Stahl

August 25, 1915 — October 26, 2008

Beloved child of God, Raymond Leo Shorty Stahl, 93 of Hancock formerly of Oshkosh, died on Sunday, October 26, 2008. He was born in Red Lake Falls, MN on August 25, 1915 the son of William and Christina Stahl. He married Joan Thora Schmidt on January 12, 1963 in Chicago, IL. Joan preceded him in death on February 20, 2003.Shorty was a member of the Community Church in Oshkosh. He was a WWII Army veteran and was a farmer in his early years. He owned and operated Rays Resort in Weyauwega from 1960 to 1980, he then worked at the Southern Colony and owned and operated the Cup and Saucer Restaurant in Union Grove.Survivors include three daughters, Elodia (Jeff) Geffers of Hancock, Sheila (Frank) Soul of Phillips, Clarice Allen of Hastings, MI; seven grandchildren, Maria Munoz of Madison, Carlos Munoz Jr of Manitowoc, Kara (William) Dumke of Oshkosh, Jackie (Jon) Ellmann of Oshkosh, Jesse (Mike) Stewart-Soul of Elk Mound, Frank Anthony Soul of Phillips, Serina Soul of Phillips; four great grandchildren, Davin Munoz, River Stewart-Soul, Rownan Stewart-Soul, and Molly Ellmann-Johnson. Also surviving are good friends, Frank and Ann Randall, Ardis Parker, Marvin Scott, Chris and Lois Propp and Ellen Rudolph. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at 1:00 PM at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (Westside). Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Town of Black Wolf. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society.
