Reuben R. Hartman, age 85, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at his residence. He was born on November 4, 1931 in Oshkosh to Henry and Emily (Diel) Hartman. Reuben married Judith Frueh on January 1, 1996.
He graduated Oshkosh High School and served his country in the U.S. Navy. After getting out of the military Reuben went on to be an automobile salesman.
Reuben enjoyed stock car racing, hunting, gambling at the casino and he loved to golf.
He is survived by his wife, Judith; children, Brenda (Kevin) Heaney, Patti Hartman, Carol (Chuck) Steinert, Julia Hartman, Amy (Dave) Morrow, Patricia (Brian) Frueh, Mark (Nancy) Frueh, John (Suzan) Frueh, Thomas (Suzanne) Frueh and James (Betsy) Frueh; grandchildren, Bryan (Erin) Heaney, Sarah (Kevin) Schulz, Kathryn (Jason) Cisewski, Jarryd Steinert, Mackenzi Steinert, Morgan Steinert and Kaili Hartman; great grandchildren, Madelynn, Kendall and Vivian Schulz, Aydin and Ayla Heaney and Matthew Cisewski. He is further survived by a sister, Ruth (Ron) Wissink; and brother, Henry (Nancy) Hartman.
Reuben was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Phillip Heaney.
A memorial service for Reuben will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at All Saints Lutheran Church (1072 Honey Creek Rd.) with Rev. Dean Desilet officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
