Richard Rick Alan Floyd, 49 of Borth, Wisconsin passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday, September 15th, 2013 in Dothan, Alabama. He was born in Oshkosh, WI on May 18, 1964. He graduated from Oshkosh North High School in 1982. After high school he completed his 4 year Carpenter Apprenticeship and became a Journeyman Carpenter and continued climbing the ladder. He was united in marriage to the love of his life and soul mate, Carolyn, on July 9th, 1993. He was a strong yet gentle, loving and generous father. Rick was a Job Superintendent by trade through Carpenters Local 955 and a fisherman by hearts desire. If it swam, he fished for it-no matter the weather. He was often on his boat, surrounded by water and his close friends. He was always smiling and laughing (often at his own jokes). His infectious laughter and quick-wit will be missed. He had been employed by CR Meyer, The Boldt Company, J.P. Cullen & Sons and most recently at TCI Architects, Engineers, Contractor in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. He was currently the Superintendent on a Gander Mountain project in Dothan, Alabama.Rick is survived by his caring and devoted wife of 20 years Carolyn Mamazoid (Ulrich), his parents Bobby and Barbara (Knoblock) Floyd of Oshkosh, WI, his daughter Danielle Dawd Floyd (Fiance Reid Burton) of Chicago, IL, his stepson Justin Chum Harrer of Oshkosh, WI, his son Steven Stub (Tonya) Floyd and their children Caden, Dylan and Kilee of Oshkosh, WI, his brother Ron Roscoe (Theresa) Floyd and their son Hunter of Kaukauna, WI, his sister Cindy Cin (Bill) Plucker and their two sons Will and Sam of Appleton, WI, his brother Kevin Fuzz Floyd and his son Colin of Crivitz, WI. He is further survived by father-in-law Marvin Ulrich of Pickett, WI and sisters-in-law Sandy Ross (special friend Nick) of Neshkoro, WI and Jan (Al) Smith of Oshkosh, WI. He is also survived by many other loving family members and friends. He spent many weekends fishing (and sometimes catching), with Brad and many other fishing buddies. He will be greatly missed by their two dogs Tucker and Bear. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, mother-in-law, and Uncle Dick Knoblock. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (Westside) with the Rev. Ralph Hanusa officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will be in Lake View Memorial Park. Special and sincere thanks to Larry Dobbe and Jeff Neubauer of TCI for their support, assistance and compassion during this extremely difficult time. In addition, we are extremely and forever grateful to Phil Martini and the wonderful CR Meyer family for all of their kindness, thoughtfulness and generosity. Rick, I will miss you and you will be in my heart always. I love you. Who will make the famous deep fried blue gill and the fudge at Christmas? Dad, I will always leave the lights on for you.
