Richard Alvin Jones

Richard A. Jones II, 47, of Berlin died on Saturday Dec. 8, 2007 at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center in Mooresville, NC. He was born in Ripon, WI on July 5, 1960, a son of Richard A. and Linda Walters Jones. He married Tristie Patrie on Jan. 25, 1985 in Oshkosh. Richard was a very involved member of Wyldewood Baptist Church. He played his trumpet at church and in community bands. He encouraged his children to play their musical instruments and coached them. Richard helped in home schooling his children. He enjoyed fishing with his son, and horseback riding with his daughters, and in winter took them downhill skiing. Spending time with his family was very important to him.Survivors include his wife, Tristie; and his children, Stacia Lynn Jones, Eden Julia Jones, Richard A. Jones III, and Melody Ann Jones, all of Berlin; his mother, Linda Jones, Oshkosh; two sisters, Julie (Ron) Fleener, Rochelle, IL, Teresa (Leonard) Schmick, Pickett; mother-in-law, Audrey Allemers, Oshkosh; sisters-in-law, Joyce Marie (Jeff) Engelman, Oshkosh; Fawn (Mike) Barman, Madison; brothers-in-law, Lance Patrie and Tyler Patrie, both of Oshkosh; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, and a sister Theresa Prellwitz.Funeral services will be held at Wyldewood Baptist Church (3030 Witzel Ave) on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007 at 10:00 AM with pastor Randall King officiating. Family and friends may call at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and on Thursday at the church from 9:00 AM to the time of service. Interment will follow at Ellenwood Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
