Richard “Dick” F. Hable, age 75, passed away on September 19, 2022, after a battle with prostate cancer. He was born on October 4, 1946, in Oshkosh to the late Herbert and Ardis (Curtis) Hable. He was united in marriage to Barbara “Bobi” Postl on August 9, 1969, at Peace Lutheran Church in Oshkosh.
Dick graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1966. He worked at Copps Corporation for several years before working at Kimberly Clark, where he retired after 30 years. He was an avid hunter, bowler and golfer. Dick was blessed to have a living kidney transplant from his wonderful sister, Mickie Rohan for 39 years.
Dick is survived by his wife, Bobi Hable; sons: Scott Hable, Brian Hable; brothers: Tom (Jenni) Hable, Larry (Judy) Hable, Mark (Linda) Hable; sisters, Michelle “Mickie” Rohan, Danni (David) Wyatt; brother-in-law, Greg (Barb) Postl; sister-in-law, Pam (Pat) Pawlak; nieces and nephews: Kelly Hable, Nicole (Tom) Dobberstein, Trista (Ryan) Rahn, Erin (Jeff) Lang, Cindy (Rick) McLaughlin, Jennifer (Steve) Schroeder, Brandi (Mark) Rilling, Meghan (Isaac) Archer, Mike (Kathryn) Hable, Josh (Trisha) Friday, Justin Hable, Robin (Carl) Sternhagen, Ross (Becky) Resop, Michelle (Sean) Angel, Preston (Karen) Postl, Matt (Jenna) Harper, Dale (Hannah) Postl, Mark (Madison) Pawlak; and by numerous great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Ardis Hable, mother and father-in law, Gertrude and Douglas Postl, and his brothers and sisters-in-law, Curtis Postl, Robert Rohan, Sandy Resop, Gail Hable.
A funeral service for Dick will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home, 100 Lake Pointe Drive, Oshkosh. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will take place at Lake View Memorial Park.
The family would like to extend their deep appreciation to Dr. Dar, Dr. Devermann, and the staff of Aurora at Home Hospice, especially Tammy, Jessica and Janet. Your kind and compassionate care have been appreciated.
