Richard "Dick" Mentzel

Richard "Dick" D. Mentzel, age 72, of Oshkosh, WI, passed away at his home unexpectedly on December 28, 2024.

Dick was born on August 27, 1952, in Wisconsin, son of Donald and Frances (Rothe) Mentzel. Dick graduated from Oshkosh High School and later worked at Morgan Doors in manufacturing until its closing.

Dick is survived by his brother, Charles (Joann) Mentzel; and his sister, Bonnie (Dan) Guyette. He is preceded in passing by his father, Donald; and mother, Frances; brothers, Fred (Barbara) Mentzel and Donald Jr. (Cindy) Mentzel.

Dick is the uncle to many nieces and nephews in both the Mentzel and Rothe families. Dick liked to fish and enjoyed taking care of his favorite 60's car.

A private memorial gathering of immediate family members for Dick will be held in the future.
