Richard Pellinger

Richard D. Pellinger, 76, of Oshkosh died Saturday, June 14, 2014, at his residence. He was born April 7, 1938 in Waupun to the late John and Lucille (Dake) Pellinger. He married Shirley Schmidt on December 27, 1958 on the Air Force Base in Ramstein, Germany.Richard graduated from St. Peter Grade School and Oshkosh High School. He was an engineer at IBM for 28 years retiring in 1993. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and with Shirley was stationed in Germany, Taiwan, South Carolina, and Texas. He was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament-St. Peter Church and the NRA.Dick was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping, especially with his brother Bob. Dick enjoyed watching the Packers, spending time with his family, and his three cats Alvin, Daisy, and Buddy.Richard is survived by his wife, Shirley of Oshkosh; a daughter, Julie Fulkerson of Arlington, TX; three sons, Rick (Clara) Pellinger of Seattle, WA, Steve Pellinger of Wautoma, and Tom (Donna) Pellinger of Berlin, MD; a sister, Patricia (Dick) Deppe of Cleveland, MN; seven grandchildren, Mathew Pellinger, Emily Pellinger, Claire Fulkerson, Michelle Fulkerson, Hannah Pellinger, and twins Will and Connor Pellinger; and two sisters-in-law, Priscilla Snyder and Lois Pellinger. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert and John Pellinger.A memorial mass for Richard will be held Saturday, June 21, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Most Blessed Sacrament-St. Josephs Church, with Rev. James Jugenheimer officiating. Visitation will be held Friday June 20th at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and again Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the service. Inurnment will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
