Richard Rozek

Richard D. Rozek, 64 of Oshkosh passed away peacefully at home on Monday, May 21, 2007. He was born in Winneconne on October 17, 1942 the son of Fabian and Esther Kuffel Rozek. On September 17, 1983 he married Pamela J. Case in Oshkosh.Richard had been employed by Rockwell International for thirty four years, and then worked for the Banta Book Group for five years retiring in 2005. He enjoyed NASCAR racing and his favorite driver was Jeff Gordon. He also enjoyed playing bingo, taking trips to Las Vegas, watching the Packers, Brewers, and playing cards with Pete and Bev Olsen. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He had served his country in the U.S. Army.He is survived by his wife, Pamela J. Rozek of Oshkosh, a son, Kenneth (Sandy) Rozek of Menasha, a daughter, Renee (Eric) Hoelzel of Menasha, step daughters, Lisa (Mike) Ellis of Charlotte, NC, and Leslie (Mark) Verkuilen of Winneconne, two brothers, David (Barbara) Rozek of Winneconne and LeRoy (Pat) Rozek of Appleton, grandchildren, Eric Hammes, Alex Rozek, Noah Rozek, Collin Rozek, Chantay Fulton, Catherine Hoelzel, Joshua Hoelzel, Lauren Ellis, Madysen Ellis, Sydney Ellis, and Jordyn Verkuilen, two sisters-in-law, Vickie (Mike) Hoernke of Woodruff, WI, and Connie Nieland of Neenah, and a brother-in-law, James (Debbie) Case of Oshkosh. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, a brother, Kenneth Rozek, mother and father-in-law, Virginia and Milton Case, and a brother-in-law, Mike Nieland.A memorial service for Richard will be conducted on Thursday May 24, 2007 at 4:30 PM at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside with Fr. Carl Schmitt officiating. Visitation will be from 2:30 to 4:30 PM on Thursday.
