Richard Steven Sorensen

Richard S. Sorensen, age 67 of Oshkosh died at his home on Tuesday May 17, 2011. He was born in Ely, Minnesota on February 12, 1944, a son of the late Richard and Marcia Martin Sorensen. Richard married Dessie Murdock on December 24, 1969 in Nearland, TX. She preceded him in death on June 14, 2010. Richard retired from the U. S. Coast Guard as Chief Petty Officer.Survivors include one brother, Kent (Debbie) Sorensen and their children, Kyle (special friend - Traci Pommerening) and Ryan; of Oshkosh; one sister, Kim (Sam) Gangi and their son, Jesse, of Two Harbors, MN; and a very special friend, Muffet.Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 20, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Lake View Memorial Park (2786 Algoma Blvd. ) . Military Honors will follow the service at the graveside.
