Richard Weber

Richard E. Weber, 84 of Oshkosh died Saturday April 26, 2008 at Bethel Home. He was born on August 4, 1923 the son of George and Rose Baebler Weber. On he married Jean R. Hoffman on May 17, 1952 in Oshkosh. Richard was a member of First English Lutheran Church. He served as a money counter and on the mailing staff. He had been employed by the Universal Foundry retiring in 1984. He had enjoyed bowling and golf; taking bus trips with the Trinity Seniors; was and avid reader and enjoyed watching sports on TV.He is survived by his wife, Jean Weber of Oshkosh; a brother/in/law, James (Betsy) Hoffman of Oshkosh; nephew, Paul Weber of Madison; niece, Mary Weber (Don Kasbohm) of Madison; other nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother, George (Bernice) Weber; a sister, Lucile (Norman) Ackermann; and by a niece, Nancy Albrecht.His funeral will be Wednesday April 30, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the First English Lutheran Church with the Rev. Martin Ruge officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Wednesday at the church from Noon until the time of the service. A memorial to the First English Lutheran Church has been established.
