Rita E. Gurlt

Rita E. Gurlt, 79, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2017. She was born on August 23, 1938 to Arthur and Dulice Nordwig. Rita lost her father at a young age and her mother was remarried to Arlyn Krumbach, her loving step-father. On August 10, 1957, she was united in marriage to Eugene Gurlt at Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville. Rita was a member of All Saints Lutheran Church where she was an active member and volunteer. She enjoyed tending to her cacti, visits with family, and shopping expeditions.
She is survived by four children, Sandy (Mike) Miller, Steve (Amy) Gurlt, Pam (Greg) Pfaff, and Julie (Curt) Newbury; 12 grandchildren, Brooke and Karl Pfaff, Ryan (Erica) and Ross Miller, Caitlin (Dane) Mataic, Brad Gurlt, Tara (Kurt) Gilboy, Brent, Garrett, and Hannah Kuenzi, and Lilly and Maddy Newbury; two great grandchildren, Samantha Gilboy and Levi Anderson Pfaff; one brother, Donald (Barb) Nordwig; one sister, Janet (Wayne) Habeck; two sisters-in-law, Sue Laddusire and Debra Gurlt.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father and her husband, Eugene.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 27, 2017, at All Saints Lutheran Church, 1072 Honeycreek Drive, Oshkosh with Rev. Dean Desilet officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 a.m. Monday until the time of the service. Interment at Riverside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.
