[i] Robert A. Freiberg, 83, passed away July 11, 2007 at Park View Health Center, where he had been a resident for one month. Bob was born in Oshkosh on March 16, 1924, the son of Edward and Maude (Cronk) Freiberg. He was educated at Trinity Lutheran School and Oshkosh High. Bob married Bernice Frohrib on Oct. 6, 1947 in Oshkosh, and spent the next 10 years living in Redwood City, CA., before returning to Oshkosh in 1957. Bob served in the United States Navy during WWII and then was employed by the postal service until his retirement. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, playing cribbage and sheepshead. During his life he had been a member of the Lakeshore Club, the Lakers, and Otter Street Fishing Club. He also played baseball for Jerrys Colts during his younger years. He was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Bob is survived by three children Pam (Steve) Grace of Oshkosh, Jim (Cheryl) Freiberg of St. Killians, Bill (Mari) Freiberg of Cashton, nine grandchildren John Kleinschmit, Alex and Katie Wright all of Oshkosh, Robby, Tommy and Eric Freiberg all of St. Killians, Dana Freiberg of Oconomowoc, Emma Rose and Sam Freiberg of Cashton, three great-grandchildren, Kira and Zachary Kleinschmit and Jacob Youngwirth of Oshkosh. He is also the step-grandfather of Jessie, Stephanie, and Gena Grace and step great-grandfather to Taylor, Dominic, Calli, Stephan, Katarina, Malachi, Allen and Nathanial. He is further survived by two sisters Dorothy Jungwirth and Lorraine Roob, both of Oshkosh and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice, one brother, Ed Pud Freiberg and his parents. A memorial service will be held on Saturday July 14, 2007 at 6 p.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-East with Rev. Marvin Ahlborn officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. A memorial has been established. The family would like to thank the staff of 1F at Park View Health Center, Terry and the rest of the staff at Aurora Dialysis Unit and Dr. Ed. Lake, who have been a great source of support for the family.[/i]
