Robert Hewitt Sayler

Robert H. Sayler, 83, of the Town of Omro, died on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Aurora Medical Center, Oshkosh. He was born on August 30, 1929 in Chicago, IL the son of Robert and Gladys Peterson Sayler. Robert married Delores Schroeder on September 15, 1951 in Trinity Lutheran Church, Oshkosh. Robert was a member of All Saints Lutheran Church. He was a U S Army Veteran and a Winneconne High School graduate. He was a land surveyor until his retirement and was a member of the E.A.A., Omro Kiwanis Club and the Winneconne American Legion Post 365. Bob enjoyed woodworking, hunting, being in the outdoors and being with his dog, Morgan but most of all he enjoyed his family time. Bob, Delores and Morgan were often seen making tours of the neighborhood in their Gator. Survivors include his wife, Delores; sons, Robert M. (Cammy) Sayler, Michael L. (Sandy) Sayler; daughters, Debra J. Bieber, Jackie L Spanbauer; grandchildren, Aaron (Heidi) Bieber, Kristin (Steven) Bosh, Nathan Bieber, Andrea Bieber, Ian (Abby) Spanbauer, Elizabeth Spanbauer, Miranda (Pat) Schiessl, Megan (Ryan) Basiliere, Robin (Heather) Sayler, Dan (Kristine) Sayler, Austin Sayler, Rigoberto Reyes; great grandchildren, Soloman Brooks, Tatum Moderson, Cohen Spanbauer, Malia Basiliere, Olivia Moderson, Eli Basiliere, Bristol Gilles, Dylan Spanbauer, Easton Bosch, Norah Bosch; and his sister, Shirley Neumann. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law, Richard Spanbauer, and brother-in-law, Carlton Neumann.The funeral service will be on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (Westside) with the Rev. Kim Krogstad officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park.Roberts family would like to extend their thanks to his caregivers, Stacy, Jessie, Tina, and Mike Pope and he also received special care from his loving son, Bob.
