Robert J. Fiegel

January 9, 1928 — June 22, 2022

Robert Joseph Fiegel, 94,  passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 surrounded by family at Evergreen.  Bob was born on January 9, 1928 in Oshkosh to the late Otto and Margaret Fiegel. Bob married Shirley Wiesner on May 13, 1950 at Grace Lutheran Church in Omro.

Bob owned a residential contracting business and made many lifelong friends.  Bob was a member of Martin Luther Church and assisted them in building Martin Luther School.  He was an avid and accomplished hunter and fisherman.   His greatest joy was teaching his grandchildren how to fish.  He spent wonderful summers with them on Washington Island salmon fishing and sharing the joys of the outdoors which he so loved to share with them.

Bob is survived by his daughters Terry (David) Rayburn of Florida and Judy (Steve) Scharpf of Oshkosh.  In addition, his grandchildren Aaron (Katie) Scharpf of Minnesota, Jason Rayburn of Iowa, Andrea (Andy) Dahl of Oshkosh and Kyle (Stephanie) Rayburn of Florida.  Great grandchildren Aubrey and Karley Scharpf, Landon and Jaxson Dahl and Greyson Rayburn.  In addition, his sister Betty Schuster who spoke with Bob regularly and was always checking and concerned about him.  He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Sharline Fiegel, Connie (Marv) Kuhlman and brother-in-law Kenney (Annette) Wiesner. He will be sadly missed by all of his family.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and wife Shirley.  His sister Caroline and her husband Bud Trittin.  Brothers-in-law Don Schuster and LeRoy Fiegel. 

At Bob’s request a small family service was held.  Memorial donations in Bob’s name can be made to a charity of your choice or to Martin Luther School in Oshkosh.
