Robert James Crooks, age 73, of Oshkosh, passed away at his residence on Thursday, June 1, 2017. He was born on February 2, 1944 to the late Edward and Dorothy (Laskowy) Crooks in Green Bay. Bob married Patti Lindner on February 4, 1967 and their marriage was blessed with two children.
Bob earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. He then earned his Master’s Degree in Management at Lake Forest College, in Lake Forest, Illinois. Bob was a former employee of Fort Howard Paper, and later retired from a position as Director of Quality for Pierce Manufacturing.
He enjoyed golf, softball, and the Packers. Bob coached his sons basketball teams while they were growing up. He was very interested in residential planning; serving on the planning board for the village of Howard. He was the past president of Homes of Havenwood Village Condo Association.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Patti; two sons: Scott Crooks of De Pere, and Todd (Beth) Crooks of Temecula, CA; three grandchildren: Ryker, Kennedy, and Brady Crooks; two sisters: Barbara Lamere of Muskego, and Nancy (Rick) Kaster of Hobart; his sister-in-law, Caron (John) Farley of Green Bay.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother-in-law: Dan Lamere.
In accordance with Bob’s wishes, he will be cremated and no formal funeral services will be held.
The family would like to express sincere thanks to Bob’s Neurologist Dr. Gizell Larson, and General Practitioner Dr. Daniel Kaiser, for their professionalism and care.
