Robert Kuhn

Robert N. Kuhn, age 82, of Oshkosh, died Wednesday January 1, 2014 at Park View Health Center. He was born on June 5, 1931 in the Town of Lessor, Wisconsin a son of Mike and Inga Birkenbach Kuhn. He married Joan Hensel Weitz on July 15, 1995.Bob was a Petty Officer First Class veteran of the United States Navy retiring from service in 1973. He was a member of the American Legion Post #70, the Timber Toppers Square Dancing Club, and the NRA. He enjoyed wood working, telling stories, and reading Log Home books. Bob is survived by his wife, Joan Kuhn; one son, Michael Kuhn of Plano, TX; two daughters, Dorothy Kuhn of Denton, TX and Linda (Mike) Williamson of Garland, TX; three step-daughters, Susan Tetzlaff, Julie (Tom Shea) Mayer, and Natalie (Stan) Klapa; the mother of his children, Jean Kuhn of Plano, TX; his grandchildren, Stefan and Simone Surratt, Anna and Luke Williamson, and Chris Kuhn; numerous step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Anthony Kuhn, and three brothers Vernon, Allen, and Gary.A memorial service for Robert will be held on Sunday January 12, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home -Westside with Rev. Doug LeCaptain officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday one hour prior to the memorial service. Military honors will be performed at the funeral home at the conclusion of the memorial service. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.The family would like to thank the entire staff of Park View Health Center especially Woodside 2, Fr. Doug, and all the individuals that cared and comforted for Robert and his family during his last days. Also, we extend a heartfelt thanks to Jay from Konrads Funeral Home for his patience, exceptional care, and compassion during this difficult time
