> Robert L. Boese Sr., 70, of Butte des Morts, died Tuesday September 6, 2011 at Aurora Medical Center.> He was born August 5, 1941 in Oshkosh a son of Norman Sr. and Geraldine Jewson Boese. Bob married Jackie Hensel on May 6, 1961 in Oshkosh, recently celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.> Bob had worked at Rockwell Int. for over 30 years before retiring and then worked part-time at the Winchester Hills Golf Course. He was a lifetime member of Christ Lutheran Church and the Otter Street Fishing Club, and a member of the American Legion Post #70, being formerly in the National Guards.> Bob is survived by his wife Jackie; a son Robert Jr. (Linda) Boese; a daughter Wendy (Bob) Spanbauer; grandchildren, Peggy (Josiah) Gardner, Mark Boese (special friend Alison), Brian Boese, Bradley and Kyle Spanbauer; great-grandchildren, Isabel, Shawn, JayLynn, and Bryonna; brothers and sisters, Dick (Julie), Marvin (Darlene), Roger (Joan), Royal (Linda), Norman Jr. (Julie), Helen (Val) Juedes, Andy (Linda), Pam (Mark) Juedes, Greg (Ann), and Laurie Boese; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerald (Germaine) Hensel, Janis (Fred) St. Dennis, Joan (Bob) Kuhn, and Jane Koeffler; many nieces and nephews and special friends. Especially Rich and Mary Palmquist, the Busha family and all his Florida friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law Elmo and Leone Hensel; and two brothers Clifford and Bradley.Bob enjoyed working at the golf course with his buddies and adopted dog Mocha. He enjoyed all football, collecting Coke memorabilia, collecting old thermometers and read every National Geographic and airplane magazine from cover to cover. > A memorial service for Bob will be held Sunday September 11, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, Rev. Jen Czarnota officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial in Bobs name is being established to Christ Lutheran Church.> Bobs family would like to thank the many doctors and nurses at Aurora Medical Center I C U for all of their compassionate care during this very difficult time and for all the love and support we have received from everyone who has kept us in their thoughts and prayers.He will be remembered for making people laugh with his quick wit, giving treats to neighborhood dogs, keeping the birds well fed and his love for life. We know youre watching over us. Keepem laughing as you have done for us. We will love you and miss you forever.
