Robert (Bob) Osborne, age 82, formerly of Oshkosh, died April 9, 2007 at his home in Las Vegas. Loving Son of Clara Kietzman, beloved step-son of Albert Kietzman and father Robert V. OBrien of St. Louis. Preceded in death, is his brother Russell H. Osborne of California, sisters Marion Fenske of Green Bay and Mildred Borrow of Maryland. He is survived by his son Gerald (Patty) Osborne of Holmen, WI. daughter Judith (Gary) Ward of Mechanicsville, MD., Vicki Barter of Oshkosh, Cathy (Rex) Elles of Santa Ana, CA., and Patricia (Doug) Kirby of Chino Hills, CA. Further survived by nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.Bob was a particularly successful contractor to many Hollywood celebrities and went on to create other business ventures to include Osbornes Paint & Supplies of Newport Beach, CA, Rogeo Inc., and Decco Garden Products Inc., all of which led to a prosperous retirement in Las Vegas. He proudly served in the Army Air Force during WWII and remained a Golden Contributor to the Disabled American Veterans. He was especially proud to be an active member of the Elks Lodge, initiated in Santa Monica, CA. and later transferred to the Huntington Beach Lodge as a recognized 35 plus year member.Bob was a polished ball-room dancer and enjoyed the music of the 40s and 50s while listening to todays Country hits. Bob and his brother Russ were one of the first members of the Martin Luther Ev. Lutheran Church of Oshkosh. He is sadly missed by his family and friends to include Lloyd Webster of Mt. Shasta, CA, Waldo Johnston of Oshkosh, and special friend Neil (Punky) Anderson formerly of Oshkosh, now retired in Arizona.A small memorial service will be held on Monday April 30, 2007 at 12:30 p.m. with the Rev. Jeffrey Berg officiating, at Martin Luther Ev. Lutheran Church, 1526 Algoma Blvd., with burial to follow at the Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Martin Luther Church.
