Robert O. Wildish, 86, of Oshkosh went home to be with Jesus on July 20, 2007. He was born on September 21, 1920 in Marshfield, WI, the son of Harrison and Anna Kohlbeck Wildish. He married Emogene Koller on February 20, 1974. Bob served his country in the U. S. Army as a Second Lieutenant in France and Germany during World War II. He later served in the National Guard, retiring with the rank of Fullbird Colonel. After retiring from the Army, he operated a Consolidated and later a Speedway service station in Oshkosh. He was a member of New Life Community Church, where he was an usher for many years and served on mission trips to Aruba and Honduras. Bob enjoyed many hobbies including RC airplanes, HO scale model railroad, and crossword puzzles. He was a docent for the EAA museum for many years and was a previous member of the Toastmasters Club. Bob had a great sense of humor for which he will always be remembered. Survivors include his wife Emogene, daughters, Sharon Merryfield, Janice (Leroy) Behlman, Linda Wildish, and Patricia (Mark) Griese, all of Oshkosh, Diane (Mark) Pendergast of Omro, a son, Allen (Denise) Wildish of Oshkosh, step-sons Bradley Koller and Marc Koller of Oshkosh, a sister, Nina Reetz of Marshfield, 13 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Randall Wildish, his parents, and a son-in-law, Ross Merryfield. Visitation will be held Monday July 23 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday July 24 at New Life Community Church in Oshkosh with visitation before the service starting at 9 a.m., Pastor Mark Elliott will be officiating. Burial will be in Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery, King, WI. A memorial has been established. The family would like to thank the pastors at New Life Community Church, the Aurora Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic staff, and the Aurora Hospice team for their kind and thoughtful care
