Robert O. “Bobby” Kohnke, age 72, passed away unexpectedly on August 11, 2017 at Aurora Medical Center. Bobby was born on September 4, 1944 in Oshkosh, WI to the late William and Jane (Owen) Kohnke. He married Pamela Gregor on February 20, 1965 in Ripon; together they had two children. He worked as a Semi-truck driver for Combination Door and Midwest Carriers. He loved his Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, NASCAR Racing, especially Jeff Gordon, WWE Wrestling and attending ACW Wisconsin events. He enjoyed participating in many Holiday parades and Trucking Convoys. He took great pride in the numerous trophies and awards for his participation. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was always known for being the “Grill Master” at all family events.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Pamela; two children, Kim (Kevin) Nimke, and Kelly Kohnke; five grandchildren, Kayla, Jacob, Brennon, Heidi Colburn, and Kyle Nimke; four siblings, Ronald (Patti) Kohnke, Edith (Dick) Button, Larry(Rachel) Kohnke, and Gene Kohnke. He is further survived by his grand dog Gunner.
A visitation will be held at 11AM-1PM on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes Westside (100 Lake Pointe Dr, Oshkosh). A sharing of memories will take place at 1PM and a burial to follow at Lake View Memorial Park. Please wear your Packers, Badgers, Nascar or wrestling attire to celebrate his life.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
