Bobby R. Floyd, age 82, passed away on August 31, 2020. He was born July 2, 1938 in Knoxville, Tennessee the son of Theodore “Ted” and Dorothy (Pennock) Floyd. Bob served in the United States Navy from 1956 to 1960 as a cook. He married Barbara J. Knoblock on May 7, 1958 in Menasha, Wisconsin. Bob was a carpenter by trade. He worked for C.R. Meyer and retired in July of 2000 as a Project manager.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Barbara; daughter, Cynthia (Bill) Plucker; sons, Ronald (Theresa) Floyd and Kevin Floyd; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Floyd; grandsons, Will and Sam Plucker, Hunter (Katie) Floyd, Collin Floyd, Steve (Tonya) Floyd and Justin Harrer; granddaughter, Danielle (Reid) Burton; great-grandchildren, Rhett Burton Emery burton, Caden Floyd, and Connor Floyd. He is also survived by his sister, Joan (Ted) Morrison of Loveland, CO and his sister-in-law, Judy Knoblock.
Bob was preceded in death by his son, Richard “Rick” Floyd; mother, Dorothy Floyd; brother, Bill (Gladys) Floyd; in-laws Richard and Regina Knoblock; and brother-in-law Richard “Dick” Knoblock, Jr.
A private family memorial service for Bob will be held at a later date.
We would like to thank the entire staff of Aurora Medical Center for their outstanding care of dad and our family during dad’s final days in each and every step from the emergency room, inpatient hospital, ICU, and hospice personnel. Thanks to your staff, dad and mom were able to spend dad’s final minutes together, which is priceless to our family. We are forever grateful for all you did for our dad and family.
Dad – we are proud of how you handled your final days with seamlessness, dignity, and pride. Your final days were spent making sure mom had everything she needed which showed us your true love for her. We are so grateful for all you have done for us. You will be forever loved and always in our hearts.
