Robert W. Hedtke, 83, of Oshkosh, died on Sunday, December 23, 2007 at King Veterans Home. Robert was born on August 16, 1924 in Oshkosh the son of Edward and Rose Martin Hedtke. He married Sarah Sally Webb on April 16, 1966 in Oshkosh. Sarah preceded him in death in 1983.Mr. Hedtke was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and worked as a Laboratory Technician at Bergstrom Paper Co. He was a World War II Navy veteran. Survivors include two brothers, Don (Joan) Hedtke of Oshkosh, Jerry (Mary Kay) Hedtke of Freedom; three sisters, Elaine (James) Christilaw, Betty (Phil) Williams and Margie Hedtke all of Oshkosh; step daughter-in-law, Cindi Bebout of Menasha; and two step grandchildren, Brook and Beau Bebout. Special thanks to family friends Lotti and Allen Sunny Biettler for the help they gave Robert.Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah; step son, Mike Bebout; one step daughter, Bonnie Bebout; one brother Dennis; two sisters, Jane Hedtke and Shirley Coates.The funeral service will be on Thursday, December 27, 2007 at 6:00 PM at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (Westside) with the Rev. Raymond Cox officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday from 3:00 PM to the time of service. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery, Menasha. A memorial has been established to the Day Care at Faith Lutheran Church.
