Robin L. Werner, 56, of Oshkosh passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012, at Aurora Medical Center, with her family by her side. She was born in Oshkosh on August 20, 1956, the daughter of Donald and Patricia Youngwirth. She married Richard J. D. Werner on July 15, 1978 in Oshkosh.A dedicated wife and mother Robin loved being at home with Rick and their growing family of six children and six grandchildren. She made each day special by soaking up small joys like relaxing on her patio, cooking a family dinner, and watching her grandchildren play on their playground. She always kept Rick on his toes with her next big renovation idea and they loved making their house a home for friends and family to enjoy. She served 37 years of loyal service to Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co. where she was an Associate Agent and always kept the candy dish full. Robin was an active member at Grace Lutheran Church and dedicated cheerleading coach for Graces elementary school. Robin is survived by her husband of 34 years, Richard J. D. Werner; children, Elizabeth (Steven) Snow, Katherine (Robert) Unger, Alexander Werner, Victoria (Jonathon) Paul, Patricia Werner, and Zachary Werner; father, Donald Youngwirth; sisters, Teri (Jeff) McElroy and Donna (Mike) Domke; grandchildren, Natalie, Samantha, Evalyn, Claire, Isabelle and Charlotte; mother-in-law, Else Werner; brother-in-law, Fred Werner; step-siblings, Kim (Randy) Alessandrini, Julie (Ray) Tetzloff, Connie (Greg) Rothe, and Dave Zentner; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Youngwirth; step-mother, Charlotte Youngwirth; father-in-law, Hans Werner; and grandparents, Lester Tiny and Lucille Zillges, Joseph and Ruth Dolly Youngwirth and Milton Shorty and Elaine Thiele.A funeral service for Robin will be held on Tuesday October 2, 2012 at 5 p.m. at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church, 913 Nebraska Ave., Oshkosh with the Rev. Chadwick Graham officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from noon until the service. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established to Grace Ev. Lutheran Church, Winnebago Lutheran Academy and the Vince Lombardi Clinic of Aurora, Oshkosh.Robins family would like to thank Peter R. Johnson, MD and Zahid N. Dar, MD who cared for her over the last six years as well as the nurses in the Vince Lombardi Clinic who made her laugh and look forward to each visit. The family would also like to extend our gratitude to the ICU nurses and physicians at Aurora for their compassion and care over the last week.
