Roger L Nick, age 74 of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, December 6, 2021. He was born in Green Bay on April 28, 1947 to the late Clayton and Lois (Anderson) Nick. Roger was the eldest of four boys, born exactly four years apart to the date. Roger was a lifelong resident of Oshkosh and would often be found out and about downtown. Roger cared for all the family and always made sure we knew the weather report, traffic closures and the latest Packer news. When he was young, the family had tickets for the famous Ice Bowl, so being a Packer fan was practically in his blood. He was well known on the city bus system and would frequent Pick’n’Save for a glazed donut or grab a bite at his favorite restaurant, Legends. If you need to know anything about trucks Roger was a wealth of knowledge and happy to share it with you. He was proud to be an apartment manager of the complex on Division St. where he resided for over 20 years. Roger was a member of Bethany United Church of Christ.
He will be greatly missed.
Roger is survived by his sisters-in-law, Ellen Radke, Diane Nick, & JoAnn Nick; six nieces; Megan Nick, Leah, Laurel (Donoghue) & Paula Nick, Libbey (Quinn) & Johanna Nick. In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his brothers Colle’, Wendy, and Doug Nick; and step mother, Juanita Nick.
Roger will be buried near his family at Lake View Memorial Park. A private service will be held in the future.
