Roman Charles Zelhofer

Roman C. Zelhofer Sr. age 88 of Oshkosh, died peacefully at Parkview Sunday, July 3, 2016. He was born in Milwaukee on November 4, 1927 the son of the late Frank and Vlasta (Appel) Zelhofer. He married Lorranie Wolf on February 19, 1949. She preceded him in death May 31, 2011.Roman worked for Rockwell, Oshkosh Truck and Barr Equipment where he retired. He then became a handyman for others. There wasnt anything he couldnt fix, just took a few tries. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, loved spending time at the cabin. He always had to be doing something. He had a witty sense of humor and cant forget about Ruby.Roman is survived by his three children: Roman Jr., Jim (Mary) and Theresa (Joe); two grandsons: Romey III (Tammy) Acworth, GA and Eddie (Brooke) Neenah, WI. Also three great grandchildren: Cody, Madison and Revan. Four sisters-in-law: Margurite, Betty, Sally and Nancy Zelhofer.He was preceded in death by his four brothers: Raymond, Harry, Robert, and Franklin.A prayer service for Roman will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral homes- (Westside). Family and friends may show their respects at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.A very special thank you to the staff at Parkview (Lakeside 2) your love for your job truly shows how much you care for the residents.
