Rose Marie Forbes

Rose Marie Forbes, 78 of Black Wolf, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 19, 2023. Rose was born December 17, 1944 to the late Leroy and Elizabeth (Weber) Streicher of Chicago, IL. She was united in marriage to the love of her life Martin Forbes on April 27, 1963 at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church in Glenview, IL.

Rose was a member of St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church. She lovingly raised six children. The titles she was most proud of were Mom, Grandma, and GiGi. She loved going to the casino, rummage sales, crafting, gardening and fishing with her husband, Marty.

Rose is survived by her husband of 60 years, Martin Forbes; children, Sheri (Gary) Borgia, Jodie (Kraig) Johnson, Jennifer (Dennis) LaHa, Tricia (Kevin) Jorgensen, and Martin Forbes; 18 Grandchildren, significant others, 17 Great Grandchildren, and sister Marlene (Phil) Franklin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Swanson, infant granddaughters, Tabatha and Tiffany, grandson, Trevor; siblings, Leroy Streicher, John Streicher, Margo Ritz, and her twin Rita Jesse.

Visitation Saturday, August 26,2023 from 3:30-6:30 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Eastside, 402 Waugoo Ave., followed by memorial service.

The Forbes family would like to extend their deep appreciation to the staff at Aurora Medical Center, especially nursing staff, Abby, MK, and Kristina. Your kindness made such an impact at such a difficult time.
