Rosemarie Hartman

Rosemarie Hartman, age 77, passed away on the morning of Friday, September 1, 2023, at Bethel Home. She was born to the late Karl and Bertha (Stilp) Thon on May 25, 1946, in Sherwood, WI. While still attending Oshkosh High School, Rose began working for Wisconsin Public Service where she would work for many years until her retirement. She married Norbert Hartman on December 17, 1965, at St John’s Church in Nekimi. Rose loved gardening as well as fishing and sturgeon spearing with Norb, especially when she was able to get a 96LB sturgeon. She also loved to go up north to their cabin and driving with Norb in any type of convertible car.

Rose is survived by her loving husband, Norb; sister, Margaret (Lee) Luebke; brother, Norman Thon; lifelong best friend, Debbie Karau; sister-in-law, Marlene Hartman; brother-in-law, Marvis (Janice) Hartman; as well as many nieces, nephews, and loyal friends.

In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her brother, Ernie Thon, and brother-in-law, Duane Hartman.

A service for Rose will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes-East (402 Waugoo Ave) on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at 12PM. A time of visitation will be held from 10AM until the time of service.

The family would like to say thank you to the wonderful staff at Bethel Home for their loving care they gave to Rose.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Rose.
