Roy D. Roy Boy Schaumann, died Monday February 20, 2006 at his residence. He was born January 27, 1924 in Menasha, a son of Harold and Eleanor (Domkowski) Schaumann. On June 2, 1950 he married Grace Van Deraa in Little Chute.He was a veteran of the United States Army, and a P.O.W. He loved water skiing, boating, sailing, and carpentry. He was known for his Jimmy Stewart and John Wayne imitations. He was very proud that he built two homes, and taught his children to swim, water ski, and ice skate. He loved to socialize and could often be seen riding around town on his scooter which displayed Oshkosh on the Water and American Flags.He is survived by his wife Grace, two daughters Deb (favorite son in law Steven) Williams of Omro, Denise Nelson of Oshkosh, one brother Jerry (Kelly) Schaumann of Larsen, three sisters, Betty Alwin of Oshkosh, Dorothy Hack, Carol Jean Steidl both of Menasha, and special friend Patricia McMillen. He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel, and a brother, Bill.Private family services were held.A memorial for macular degeneration research has been established.
