Ruth A. Wissink was called to celebrate Christmas in Heaven with her late husband Ronald L. Wissink on Thursday, December 21, 2023.
Ruth was born on August 18th, 1938, to the late Henry and Emilie Hartman. She married Ron Wissink, her husband of 66 years, on August 17th, 1957. Ruth worked as a secretary in the Oshkosh School system and at Schmitt Abstract & Title Company for many years.
Surviving Ruth are her five children: Susan Calo, Debra Fernau, Richard (Shelli) Wissink, Thomas (Kelly) Wissink, and Michael (Becky) Wissink; grandchildren: Mindy, Lindsay, Bradyn (Meagan), Joshua, Bailey (Bradley), Casey (Becky), Cody (Kenzie), Corey (Brooke), Kelsey (Adam), Jacob, Emersen, Easton, Nolan, Mackenzie (Sam), Brittanie, Colin, and Corrina; great-grandchildren: Amya, Alayah, Avielle, Owen, Khai, Charlee, Oliver, Ezden, Harvey, Hattie Jo, and Arlo; great-great grandchild Ace; brother in-law Donald (Carole) Wissink, sister in-laws Nancy (Dan) Robe, Diane (Jerry) Cummings and Judy Hartman, and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her beloved husband Ron, parents Henry and Emilie Hartman, in-laws Clarence and Ann Wissink, brothers Reuben and Henry Hartman, sister in-law Nancy (Henry) Hartman, and Niece Patty (Wissink) Parker.
Mom enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and had such a knack for turning routine experiences, short trips, and routine events into family adventures by being creative and thoughtful. She loved her grandchildren and was always interested in hearing what they were up to or concerned with their well-being. She will be dearly missed by her entire family but the thought of her and dad spending Christmas together in Heaven warms our hearts.
The family is planning a private service to celebrate Ruth’s life and express their love for her.
