Ruth E. Resop

Ruth E. Resop, 74, Princeton, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017. She was born March 5, 1943, in Oshkosh, the daughter of Howard and Alice (Kinsler) Block. Ruth married David Resop May 14, 1966, in Oshkosh. She was employed as a postal clerk for many years until her retirement. Ruth enjoyed knitting and crafting, fishing with David, traveling, feeding the birds, and volunteering with church activities. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Princeton.
Ruth is survived by her husband of 51 years, David; a son, David Jr. (Amy) Resop; a daughter, Becky (Lance) Giese; grandchildren: Allison, Mara, Noah Resop, and Grant Giese; brothers and sister: Robert (Dawn) Block, Richard (Kathy) Block, and Sherry (Joe) McCutcheon; other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Jane Alice Block.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 18, 2017, at St. John the Baptist Church, 1211 W. Main Street, Princeton, with Fr. Dale Grubba officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 17, 2017, at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Drive, Oshkosh, and again at the church Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
