Ruth J. Paulik, 94 formerly of Oshkosh, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Rennes Health and Rehab of DePere. She was born on December 25, 1926, to the late Raymond and Eva (Schroeder) Manney. After Raymond’s passing, Eva later married Harry Rafalski. Ruth married Edward Paulik on September 29, 1951, and their marriage was blessed with a son.
She worked in the food service department at Oshkosh West High School for many years. She was a former member of St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Ruth loved birds, bird watching, and sharing her knowledge of them with others. She even had a Christmas tree adorned with bird ornaments. She had a green thumb that was recognized by many residents at the nursing home and was often trusted to bring their plants back to life! She loved spending time in “The Woods” with her family and rooting for the Brewers.
She is survived by her son, Jeffrey (Pamela) Paulik; grandchildren, Phillip (Marjorie) and Gregg Paulik, and Emily (Matt) Torgerson; sister, Gloria Krull. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; siblings, Donny, Raymond, Lyle, Arthur “Manney”, and Lorna Linder.
A funeral service for Ruth will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, October 8, 2021, at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Dr. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will take place in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
