Ruth L. Gerth

Ruth L. Gerth, 86, of Oshkosh died Monday, March 24, 2014, at Eastbrooke Manor. She was born March 15, 1928, in Oshkosh a daughter of the late Elmer and Alma Hielsberg. She married Ralph Gerth on July 30, 1948, in Oshkosh and he preceded her in death on September 1, 1978.Ruth, along with her husband Ralph, started Electronic Industries and worked for many years as their bookkeeper. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards and watching birds, especially cardinals.Ruth is survived by a son, Thomas Gerth (Lorie); a sister, Lucile (Richard) Koch; brothers, Elmer (Judy) Hielsberg and Gordon (Jean) Hielsberg; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael on March 1, 2005, and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Arnold (Melanie) Hielsberg and Robert (Barbara) Hielsberg.A funeral service for Ruth will be held Thursday, March 27, 2014, at 6:00 p.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, Rev. John Worzala-Dumke officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the service. Entombment will be in Lake View Memorial Park.Ruths family would like to thank the staff at Eastbrooke Manor and Generations Home Care & Hospice for the wonderful care and help received.
