Ruth M. Schneider

Ruth M. Schneider, 92, of Oshkosh, died October 14, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center. She was born on April 8, 1922, daughter of the late Paul and Elsie (Gluth) Sitter. Ruth married Herbert Schneider on November 20, 1941. He preceded her in death in 1972. Ruth loved going to the cottage in Poy Sippi, spending time with her grandchildren and many traveling vacations throughout her life. It was always Ruths wish to not have a nursing home provide care for her. She passed away just hours before she was to be admitted to a nursing home.Ruth is survived by her sons, Gerald (Vicki) Schneider and Richard (Janet) Schneider; her daughter, Susan (Bruce) Woldt; brother, Richard (Yolanda) Sitter; sister, Audrey Binder; grandchildren: Derek, Angela, Rick, Jason, Kelly, Justin and Lindsay; great-grandchildren: Jackson, Calvin, Sydney, Rachael, Ashland, Beau, Nina, Elsie, Peyton, Alivia and P.J.; a brother-in-law, Harold Kietz, and sister-in-law, Arline.Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Herbert; brothers, Harold (Ruth), Milton (Valeria) and Edward Sitter; sisters, Lucille Plotz and Elaine Kietz, sisters-in-law, Ruth Sitter and Valeria Sitter and brother-in-law Herman Plotz.Funeral Services for Ruth will be at 11:00 am on Monday, October 20, 2014 at Peace Lutheran Church, 240 W 9th Ave, with Rev. John Worzala Dumke officiating. Friends and family may visit at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Oshkosh.A memorial has been established in Ruths name.The family would like to thank Dr. Kirtada Ringwala, the Orthopedic staff at Mercy Medical Center, and the Hospice Advantage staff for their wonderful care that was given to Ruth. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
