Ruth Ann Nicholson

Ruth Ann Nicholson, age 72 of Oshkosh, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2024 at Aurora Medical Center. She was born in Oshkosh on March 24, 1952 to the late Robert and Susan (Marx) Nicholson.

Ruth was married to Kairy D. Ibrahim and had two children. She later married Karl Stephany.

Ruth brought light and joy to everyone she encountered, with a sparkle in her eyes that illuminated the room. She was a vibrant soul with a passion for animals and plants. Throughout her days, Ruth filled her home with a menagerie of pets, caring for each one with boundless affection. Her green thumb was unmatched, surrounding herself with lush foliage that bloomed under her care. 

Ruth is survived by her children, Kairy R. Ibrahim and Lecia Doty; sisters, Sue Stuber and Nancy Raabe; former spouses Kairy D. Ibrahim and Karl Stephany.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her siblings, Carol Lett and Robert Nicholson.

Per Ruth’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral service held. However, for those who would like to commemorate Ruth’s memory please consider donating or volunteering at your local animal shelter or adopting a pet.
