Sarah Lynn Otto

Sarah Lynn Otto, age 40, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh. She was born on February 3, 1981, in Oshkosh to Kevin and Susan (Abitz) Otto.

At an early age Sarah survived many disability challenges in her life. Because of her strong will she accomplished so much. She was affectionate and tried to communicate in so many different ways. She loved swimming, car rides, going to the library, swinging at parks, painting, listening to rock- n- roll music and especially eating cake. She volunteered through the community as a greeter for the homeless shelter, wiped and prepared tables at local restaurants, stocked shelves for a food pantry, prepared pews for a community church and shredded paper (her favorite) for offices. She touched so many people in her life. Sarah will be remembered and missed for all her big hugs and kisses. We love you Sarah, you will be forever in our hearts.

Sarah is lovingly survived by her parents, Kevin and Susan Otto; sisters: Jessica Lomena, Jayna Otto; grandmother, Mary Abitz; nieces: Ksena Lomena, Nava Lomena; aunt and uncles: Mikey (Deb Chase) Abitz, Danny (Christa Van Fleteren) Abitz, Terry (Judy) Abitz, Debbie Abitz, Jeff (Anne) Otto, Robert Otto, Thomas (Patti) Otto, and Gary (Sheree) Otto; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Raymond Abitz, and Eldon and Carol Otto.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at All Care, especially Dawn Oppermann for all the care and compassion given to Sarah and the skilled and compassionate doctors and nurses at Mercy Medical Center in the ICU who cared for Sarah in her last days.

A celebration of life for Sarah will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home, 100 Lake Pointe Drive, Oshkosh. Visitation will take place on Thursday at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of service.
