Sarah Niebergall

July 18, 1959 — April 16, 2023

Sarah Niebergall, 63, passed away April 16th, 2023 after a courageous and hard fought battle with ALS. She never lost her smile, humor, or passion for life. Her final moments were spent surrounded by her family.

She was born July 18th,1959 in Oshkosh to the late Robert and Mary (O’Connell) Niebergall. She married Jeff Green on June 10th, 2000.

Sarah graduated from UW Eau Claire with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and continued painting throughout her life. Her joy, creativity, and exuberance for life can be seen in her paintings.

Sarah was self-employed as a co-owner of her own business. She was an active member of Algoma Boulevard United Methodist Church; often found crafting or volunteering. She was also a member of the Oshkosh Fine Arts Association and the Oshkosh Public Museum Auxiliary.

She was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, meeting her husband Jeff at a game. She enjoyed nature; especially, flowers, Lake Winnebago, and birds- often saying seeing almost any animal was “good luck”.

Sarah will be forever missed by her husband of almost 23 years Jeff Green; daughter, Crystal Seeley; brother, Fritz Niebergall; best friend Kim Sylvester, and many other friends too numerous to mention (but you know who you are). She is preceded in death by her parents and in laws Robert Green and Leona Green.

The family would like to give their deepest thanks to those that assisted Sarah these past few years; including those who helped at home and those she encountered in her final moments. A special heartfelt thanks to Fritz and Kim who made it possible for Sarah to stay at home throughout this time.

Visitation for Sarah Niebergall will be on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at her church home- Algoma Boulevard United Methodist Church. A funeral service will follow visitation at 4:00 pm. Following the service, please enjoy desserts in Sarah’s honor. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please consider supporting the ALS Association – Wisconsin Chapter.
