Sharon Jones

Sharon C. Jones, age 75, passed away at her residence on Thursday, September 26, 2024. She was born to the late Joseph and Florence (Petrie) Vowels on October 3, 1948, in Oshkosh.

She worked at Festival Foods in Oshkosh since it opened many years ago as a Pricing Specialist and was able to retire this past March. She had many dear and cherished friends while working there, especially Julie and Jay.

Sharon loved planting flowers and sitting on the deck in an umbrella rocker with her dog Griffin. She enjoyed feeding the birds while her and Griffin alike, had it out with the squirrels! Sharon also enjoyed the time spent with her dear friends Wendy and Cathy (along with a few others) as they went on day and overnight adventures. She was also very grateful for the close relationship with her niece, Denise over many years.

Sharon is survived by her children, Scott (Lynn) Beck and Kirstin Binner along with grandchildren Alaina & Ava Sapp, Madison & Matthew Binner, Shaed Buech and great-grandchildren Adilynn Cobb-Buech, Hunter & Aspen Buech. She is further survived by sister-in-law, Betty Vowels and brother-in-law, Roger Chapin

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by husband John Jones and son Jonathan Beck. Also, her brothers Richard (Birdie) Vowels, Joseph (Grace) Vowels, Mel Vowels, and sister Arlene Chapin.

Per Sharon's wishes, a cremation has taken place. A private memorial gathering will be scheduled in the spring (2025) with notification to those close to her.
