Sharon M. Poff, age 83, passed away on Christmas Morning of 2021 at The Residence of Oshkosh. She was born to the late Herman and Minnie (Debord) Hicks on July 7, 1938, in Columbus, OH. She married Raymond Poff in Canal Winchester on June 8, 1958. She graduated with a bachelor's degree from Capital University. After moving to Oshkosh so Raymond could serve as pastor at St John's, Sharon was active at church as the church secretary and also the organist. Later she worked in Human Resources at University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Upon retirement Ray and Sharon enjoyed traveling and camping and spent their winters in Florida. She was an active member at All Saints Lutheran Church with her musical talents and attended the bible study where she met many wonderful friends. She was an avid fan of the Brewers and the Packers. She took great pride of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren through her loving support and encouragement.
Sharon is survived by her children, Deborah (Danny) Matulle, Raymond (Susan) Poff Jr., and Jennifer (Joseph) Kapral; grandchildren, Mary Matulle, Melissa (Cort) LaKosh, Marsha (Joshua) Malnory, Michael Matulle, Amanda (Christopher) Purath, Raymond (Alyx) Poff III, Ryan Poff, Matthew (Sela Garcia) Kapral, Eden Kapral, and Jack Kapral; great-grandchildren, Cody Miesner, Jason LaKosh, Dylan LaKosh, Madelyn LaKosh, Adrian Malnory, Wesley Malnory, Oakleigh Malnory, Katherine Purath, Lauren Purath, Mason Poff, and Vivian Poff. She is further survived by a sister-in-law, Ann Anderson and many nieces & nephews.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Ray, her parents, and her sister, Betty (Howard) Liang.
A funeral service will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home Westside (100 Lake Pointe Dr) on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at 2PM. A visitation will be held from 11AM until the time of services. Burial will take place at St. John's Cemetery in Black Wolf on January 3, 2022, at 10:30AM.
