Sharon Rae Peppler, 83, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Bethel Home. She was born March 12, 1935, in Oshkosh, the daughter of Herbert and Edna (Covill) Doemel. On September 14, 1953, Sharon married Gordon Peppler, and together they shared 65 years. Sharon was a 1953 graduate of Oshkosh High School, and the first female in Waupun to drive school bus. She was employed by Edmund’s Bus Service for many years, and owned and operated House of Ceramics. Sharon attended Community Church, Oshkosh. She had a talent for cooking and baking and specialized in making homemade apple slices, a treat that many will miss. Sharon enjoyed spending time outdoors gardening, fishing and golfing. She also loved reading, bowling, shopping and gambling. Sharon adored spending time with family, but the most important was spending time with her husband, Gordon who she will be deeply missed by.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Gordon; children: Gordy (Deb) Peppler, Lori Sanders, and Lisa Peppler; grandchildren: Jason (Jenny) Sanders, Corey (Melissa) Sanders, Jeremiah (Lindsay) Hopp, Rebekah Peppler, Garrett Piester, Brein Stobb, Braelinn Stobb, and Jaden Peppler; 7 great grandchildren with another one on the way; a brother, Herbie Doemel; a sister, Joan (Chuck) Neustifter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two infant daughters, Tina and Melinda, and a brother and sister, Jerry Doemel and Betty Kanitz.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 17, 2019, at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Drive, Oshkosh, with Pastor Karl Kramer officiating. Inurnment will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until the time of the service.
